Programma Rotterdam Architectuur Maand 2019

AIR initieert dit jaar voor de vierde maal de Rotterdam Architectuur Maand (RA Maand), samen met partners Rotterdam Festivals, Rotterdam Partners en OMI. De eigenaar van het voormalige Postkantoor aan de Coolsingel (Omnam Group) stelt, vlak voor de uitgebreide transformatie, de centrale hal ter beschikking. Hier komt het festivalhart met expositieruimte en dagelijkse programmering: POST podium van 24 mei t/m 16 juni.

Gelaagde stad

Belangrijke lijn is de zoektocht naar de ‘gelaagde stad’. Een van de centrale thema’s in de concept architectuurvisie die naar verwachting ook in de maand wordt gepresenteerd. Onder deze noemer willen we in het POST gebouw een reeks activiteiten samenbrengen met focus op de transformatie van monumentaal erfgoed(i); de typologische vernieuwing van hoogbouw (ii); de lange lijnen van gebiedsontwikkelingen langs de stads-as tussen Central District en Hart van Zuid. Voor wie de hoogte in wil, verdieping zoekt of weleens een kijkje achter de schermen wil, tijdens #RAM19 kan het. Beleef hoogtepunten, leer meer over architectuur en ga mee op ontdekkingstocht! Het voormalige Postkantoor aan de Coolsingel transformeert tijdens de Rotterdamse Architectuur Maand tot hét podium voor Rotterdamse architectuur: POST Podium. POST opent nog een keer haar deuren voor publiek voordat het wordt getransformeerd. POST is doordeweeks ‘s avonds open met een dynamisch programma en in de weekenden gratis te bezoeken. Bezoek een lezing, ontdek POST en bekijk de maquettes van beeldbepalende projecten van Feyenoord City, Hart van Zuid, Rijnhaven en de binnenstad. We kijken uit naar je komst!

Rotterdam Architecture Month [ENG]

For the fourth time, AIR initiates the Rotterdam Architecture Month (RAM) together with partners Rotterdam Festivals, Rotterdam Partners and Office for Metropolitan Information (OMI). During this month daily programs take place in a temporary center for architecture that will arise in the heart of the city addressing recent and historic layers in Rotterdam architecture. We are proud to announce that Omnam Group provides the main stage of RAM by opening the doors of  the iconic Post building at the Coolsingel: POST podium, May 24th – June 16th. The red thread of the program during this years Rotterdam Architecture Month is the search of a ‘layered city’. The City of Rotterdam presents the new architecture policy during the RAM where this theme plays a central role as well. The layered city is divided in three main themes on which the program is build: (i) transformation of monumental heritage (ii) typological regeneration of high rise and (iii) area developments along the Rotterdam city axis Central District – Hart van Zuid. For those who want to go up, go in depth or have a look behind the scenes, visit #RAM19. The former Postkantoor on Coolsingel transforms during the Rotterdam Architecture Month (RAM) into the stage for Rotterdam architecture. POST opens its doors to the public once again, before it is being renovated. POST is open on weekdays in the evening with a lively program and can be visited free of charge in the weekends. Visit a lecture, discover POST and have a look at the models of defining projects like Feyenoord City, Hart van Zuid, Rijnhaven and the Rotterdam city center. We look forward to seeing you!
